General Membership Questions

What is the current status of HG Communities?

HG Communities is in its pre-launch phase. This is an exciting time to join as a founding member and shape the future of the network while enjoying exclusive benefits and extended membership terms.

Is there exclusivity for professional members?

No, professional memberships are open to everyone, regardless of industry. HG Communities encourages relationship marketing in part because of the personal nature of home spaces.

The only form of exclusivity applies to local annual sponsorships.

For example, if a real estate brokerage becomes a local exclusive sponsor, no other brokerage can sponsor at that level in that community. However, realtors from other brokerages can still join as members or sponsor individual events. This applies to all industries and will be considered on an individual basis in order to preserve the inclusivity of the community.

How can I pay for my membership?

Currently, we accept e-transfers as the preferred payment method. If you’d like to pay by credit card, we can process your payment through PayPal—just let us know and we'll send you a link.

Can I pay for my membership monthly?

At this time, we do not offer monthly payment options. However, this may be available in the future as the network grows.

How will I know about professional member offers?

Professional members provide clear instructions for how regular members can access their exclusive offers. As the network grows, we’re also exploring ways to provide members with an identification method for easy access to these benefits. We will also announce new member incentives and offers in the newsletter.

Do I need to be a homeowner to join?

No! HG Communities is for anyone passionate about homes and gardens, whether you own, rent, or simply love being part of a vibrant community of people who love home and professionals who create homes people love.

What types of events can I attend as a member?

Regular members can attend monthly connection meetings, professional member-hosted workshops, project showcases, and special networking events. Some events are free for members, while others may have discounted rates.


Professional Member Questions

How can I promote my business as a professional member?

Professional Members are listed in the HG Communities Directory with links to their websites and social media. The Directory is currently available online as a PDF download. As we grow, this will expand to a searchable online directory. You can also host workshops, sponsor events, and offer member-only specials to further showcase your services. Professional Members also can sponsor local events at discounted prices from non-members.

Can I change or update my special offer for members?

Yes! You can update your offer anytime by contacting us. Your listing in the directory will reflect the most current information.

Can I sponsor events if I'm not an exclusive local sponsor?

Absolutely. Exclusive sponsorship only applies to annual community sponsorships. Any professional member can sponsor local events, regardless of their industry. Local event sponsorship funds directly contributes to the guest experience and is always welcome!
